About the cause:
Congenital heart defects are the most common type of birth defect worldwide. Infants born with these conditions are living longer, healthier lives thanks to advancements in medical care. Our pediatric and adult cardiology programs offer comprehensive, complex cardiovascular specialty care to patients of all ages— fetal to adult.
UMMC is the only program in Mississippi dedicated to caring for adults born with heart disease, and Children’s of Mississippi is the only hospital in Mississippi dedicated entirely to children. As a not-for-profit hospital, we rely on the generous support of our community. The University of Mississippi Medical Center cares for thousands of children and adults each year, including nearly all of Mississippi’s pediatric and adult congenital heart patients.
Please join us for the first-year race benefitting the adult congenital cardiology and pediatric cardiology programs at UMMC! This is an event for a wonderful cause and will help so many.
